All About Paphos, Cyprus

Cyprus is a great place for a holiday. Paphos, located on the South-West of the island, used to be a small picturesque harbour town. It has grown exponentially in the last 10 years.

Paphos old town, also called Pano Paphos or Ktima, is situated on a hill and features everything from a covered market selling fruit and vegetables, meat and fish to designer label fashion shops.

About a kilometre south of the Old Town is Kato Paphos, or Lower Paphos, it is also known as Nea Paphos, or New Paphos and is where most of the archaeological remains can be found.

Kato Pafos centres around a pleasant little harbour whose picturesque open-air waterside fish restaurants line the quayside, which is guarded by an ancient fort and a lighthouse not far away.
